1 prenatal planning appointment to go over your birth plan with you and your partner. We will discuss our plan for when you go into labour and what tools and techniques you wish to try during the labour process.

1 hour private prenatal education session to practice comfort measures such as the “hip squeeze” and counter pressure techniques. We will also work through the stages of labour, pushing positions, breathing for labour and pushing, and the baby’s path out of the maternal pelvis.

24/7 on-call support from 38 weeks

12 hours of continuous labour support when you go into labour. I will come to your house, clinic and/or hospital to provide comfort measures, non-medical pain management tools and techniques, physical support, emotional guidance and encouragement.

I will stay for 1 hour after the birth to make sure feeding is established and that you are feeling nourished and cared for.

1 Postpartum home visit will be scheduled between day 3-6 to ensure you have transitioned home with baby and that you healing is on track. I will also be available to help you plan for more support and we will check in with you mood and sleep.
