Hi there! Welcome to Birth & Body. I’m Lexi, and I’m here to support you and your family through every step of pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. As a Body Ready Method Pro, doula, and Registered Kinesiologist specializing in the pelvic floor, my mission is to provide personalized physical and emotional support tailored to your unique needs.

At Birth & Body, I help expectant moms get ready for labour, offer essential support during birth, and assist with healing afterward. Whether it’s through comprehensive education on labour and postpartum recovery or hands-on assistance during birth, I’m dedicated to making this transformative time as smooth and positive as possible for you.

Once your little one arrives, my support doesn’t stop. I’m here to help with postpartum healing, fitness, and parenting. From breastfeeding support to stroller walking, mom and baby fitness, hiking, and baby wearing, I’ve got you covered. If you’re recovering from a Cesarean, I offer specialized care to make your recovery journey easier.

My Doula Packages

  • Prenatal + Birth + Beginnings

    Prenatal meetings and classes + full birth support + postpartum support

  • Prenatal + Birth

    Prenatal meetings, private education, and classes + full in-person birth support in home, clinic or hospital.

  • Birth

    Birth Support - 12 hours of continuous labour support in home, clinic or hospital. Physical comfort measures, advocacy, information, and support.

  • Body Ready Method Session

    Pregnancy can come with shifting centre of gravity and changing postural patterns. New aches and pains can arise out of the blue but often indicate to us that our body needs more balance. Treating the acute pain is necessary, but finding out why that pain happened in the first place is the BODY READY METHOD approach. I will show you how to strengthen and release your body for a happy pregnancy and a smooth birth. We know that the same principles that help the body to become more ‘body ready’ also help the body to function better, which often goes along with minimizing, eliminating or preventing pain in the body. Through alignment and core support programs I can help you get your body ready for labour and birth so that healing in the postpartum period is a breeze.

    $100 - Prenatal Assessment + Movement Plan (1hr)

  • Core Assessment + Healing Plan

    After we have a baby we are often left feeling unsure of how our body is healing. Pregnancy and birth can be hard on our bodies and healing takes time. This appointment is for anyone looking to get back to the lifestyle they desire and feel strong and capable while doing it.

    This appointment is done at my studio (Dance Evolution). I get a birth history, a brief medical history and do a hands on *core assessment and a posture check. A plan is then developed to best support you in reaching your goals.

    *Core assessment is external. Kinesiologists do not perform internal pelvic floor assessments. Please see a Pelvic Health Physiotherapist for internal assessments and treatments.

    $100 - Core Assessment + Personalized Plan (1 hr appointment)

  • Surgical Birth Healing

    Healing from a surgical birth can be difficult. Once you are ready and your tissues have healed, I can guide you through my step by step process of caring for your scar to bring function back into your core. As incisions heal, restrictions can grow in the core making it harding to connect with the muscles. I will help you re-connect to your core and move in more functional ‘feel-good” ways.

    $100 - Scar Care plan and Core rehab (1hr)

  • Hypopressives

    Have you just been told you have a PROLAPSE? Do you have Diastasis Recti, low back pain or incontinence?

    Hypopressives are a technique developed to help you manage the pressures in your core. We all have a pressure inside our core called “Intra-abdominal Pressure” and when this pressure is being misguided by our posture and movements we can experience things like pelvic organ prolaps, diastasis recti, low back pain and acid reflux. The hypopressive breath teaches you how you can use your pressures to heal your core and bring strength and vitality back into your body.
