Planned Cesarean births still benefit from the steady, informed presence of a doula.
While our local hospital does not allow both the partner and the doula in the operating room at the same time, I can still support you in a few important ways:
I can help you prepare in advance with education, planning, and emotional support.
On the day of your birth, I can stay nearby to offer guidance and reassurance before surgery, and wait in the recovery area to reconnect and assist with feeding, recovery, and bonding.
If your partner is unsure about being in the OR, I can attend in their place to ensure you have steady support.
If your scheduled C-section is booked before our on-call period begins, you're eligible for a full refund, or you may choose to transfer the cost to other services, such as prenatal education or postpartum care. If your C-section falls within the on-call window, a partial refund may be available depending on what services have already been delivered.
Even with a surgical birth, you deserve steady, compassionate, evidence-informed support—and I’m here for that.

Whether your birth unfolds exactly as planned or takes a different path, I’m there for you and your partner every step of the way.
As your doula, I support you throughout pregnancy with prenatal visits and open communication, and I’m on call several weeks before and after your estimated due date. If labour begins and plans change, I still join you at the hospital and stay by your side through the labour process.
Although studies show doulas can reduce the likelihood of Cesarean birth, sometimes it becomes the best or safest option. In those moments, I continue to offer calm guidance and support.
While only one support person is allowed in the operating room at Health Sciences North, I wait nearby and join you in the recovery room immediately after birth to help with feeding, comfort, and processing the experience.
Postpartum support becomes even more valuable after a C-section, and I’m there to help you through that healing process too.

I only take two birth clients per month to ensure I can give you the care, time, and presence you deserve. I deeply value the relationships I build with my clients and always plan my calendar around your estimated due date.
That said, birth is unpredictable. If both clients go into labour at the same time—a rare but possible occurrence—I notify my trusted doula network as soon as I see overlap coming. I have reliable backup doulas on standby who I personally trust and align with, and you would always be informed and introduced ahead of time.
If a backup is needed, you’ll still receive full birth support, and I will remain your prenatal guide and postpartum visitor. If possible, I’ll also join your birth once I’m free. Either way, you are never without knowledgeable and compassionate care.

Call me, no matter what day or time. While I officially begin 24/7 on-call support at 38 weeks, I’ve absolutely attended births before this window when I'm available—and I’m happy to do so whenever possible.
During the on-call period, I stay close to home, keep my phone by my side, and make sure my schedule is completely clear for you. If you happen to go into labour before that window opens, and I’m available, I will absolutely rearrange things to be there with you.
In the rare case that I’m out of town or unavailable, I have a trusted network of backup doulas ready to step in—experienced professionals I work closely with and trust completely.
Labour doesn’t follow a schedule, and I respect that. I’m here to help make this unpredictable process feel supported, grounded, and calm.

Yes, absolutely. I’m happy to arrange a payment plan that works for you—as long as the full balance is paid before your on-call window begins at 38 weeks.
Most clients follow a two-part structure:
50% due at contract signing
50% due by 38 weeks gestation
If you’d prefer smaller monthly installments, we can customize a plan together. I’ll create a payment link and send it according to your chosen schedule.
I completely understand that financial flexibility can make a big difference during this time, and I’m here to support you in a way that feels manageable and stress-free.
Let’s connect! It’s Free with zero obligation!
Whether you're just curious or already planning for support, filling out this quick form helps me get to know your due date, care team, and what kind of support you're looking for. No pressure—just a simple way to start the conversation and explore how I can best support you.
